MINDFULNESS AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE FOR LEADERS AND TEAMS

In these turbulent times, people are reporting higher levels of anxiety, stress and burnout. Navigating today's VUCA-world (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) requires that leaders and organizations develop new skills to manage stress, enhance emotional wellbeing and cultivate a sense of purpose to engage the workforce. Some of the latest neuroscience and behavioral research suggest that we can systematically train the brain to enhance mental clarity, boost resilience, strengthen effective collaboration and increase individual fulfillment at work and in life. IdeaLift provides transformational mindfulness and emotional intelligence-based programs grounded in neuroscience and evidence-based practices that lead to sustained peak performance, resilience, creativity and effective leadership.

Decades worth of research shows a relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and many of the most critical aspects of organizational performance, leader success, and employee engagement.  The World Economic Forum named Emotional Intelligence as a core work-related skill, and predicts it to be “in higher demand across industries than narrow technical skills. Emotional Intelligence differentiates top performers beyond IQ and technical abilities and enables us to understand and navigate our own emotions as well as our relationships. Using mindfulness practices, EI is highly trainable skills and has been found to reduce turnover, absenteeism, and increase employee engagement, performance and productivity organizational return on investment

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Ӂsa is a gifted educator and facilitator of mindfulness meditation. She meets her clients where
they are, teaches different meditative techniques and gently guides them through the meditative
process, bringing about calm and quiet. She is truly a gift to everyone around her. After working
with Åsa, I am a convert and now regularly practice mindfulness meditation. With much
gratitude”

Tina Sheldon, Chief Compliance Officer, Five Star Senior Living

“Åsa's mindfulness sessions were a rare combination of neuroscience insight, an in-the-moment
calming experience, and practical tools I wrote down every time and now use every day.
Besides, Åsa is simply someone you want in your life, at least once, with her warmth and
genuine caring about your wellbeing.”

Janet Swaysland, Founder & Engagement Strategist, BlueFire Partners

“Åsa presented a Resilience Workshop to over two dozen staff in our school district. Given the
stress of starting this school year, those attending were extremely appreciative of Åsa's
thoughtful presentation and opportunity to practice some simple mindfulness techniques that
could easily be incorporated into a daily routine.  The information about the scientifically-proven
benefits of mindfulness regarding brain function echoed the importance of finding opportunities
to center oneself during this turbulent period of time (Covid). We highly recommend Åsa and her
joyful style as she guides people on a brief but memorable mindfulness journey.”

Katie Donnino, Social Worker, Newton Public Schools

"Åsa is a very experienced mediation instructor.  She was light with her instruction, but direct.  She really wants to GIVE each and every person in the room what she has to share. I could not believe how smoothly the session went – in that she had time constraints, and we are in an office versus a yoga studio, and she just worked with it TOTALLY.  You can feel the positive energy from her, as soon as she steps up to greet you. I have been exposed to meditation before, but this class was the best!”
